Member Requirements

Legacy is a co-op. . .

It is often said that 20% of the people do 80% of the work,  but as a co-op, we rely on our members' many hands to make light work for everyone!

Co-op, or cooperative, is:
  • an organized group, marked by a willingness and ability to work with others (or cooperate) for a common purpose or benefit.

What does this mean?

In order to make our co-op a success, we need you!

Moms, Dads, Grandparents, older children......please prayerfully seek how God will lead you to use your abilities in our co-op.  As we are just beginning this exciting journey as a co-op, please know that it is necessary for everyone to "pitch in" to make it successful!  We need teachers, teacher assistants, nursery workers, field trip planners, activity planners, set-up/cleanup, etc. to make everyone's work light!

If you are interested in attending Legacy, please email us at morgantown.legacy@gmail.com

Member Requirements
  1. Legacy will be broken into 3, one hour long class periods.  As a member, you are expected to help out in 2 out of the 3 hours, one hour as a teacher, and one hour as a classroom helper.  During the hour you are not teaching/helping, we ask that you use this time to rest with a servant's heart and minister to other moms, pray with each other, build relationships, encourage one another, look for needs to meet or seek others to help you with your needs, etc.  You never know how a few encouraging words may change someone's whole week!
  2. It is also expected that you coordinate an activity or committee for an event throughout the year.  This could include a field trip, community service activity, holiday party, project fair, etc.

Member Conduct

We expect all parents and children to treat other parents, teachers, students, and our host facility/staff with courtesy and respect at all times.  This includes during classes, field trips, or other Legacy events.  We will not tolerate inappropriate physical affection, aggression and/or bullying, or foul language.  If during class your child does not follow this code of conduct, your child will be given a verbal warning.  If the behavior continues, your child will be brought to you for the remainder of that day's classes.

We expect that all members will dress modestly/appropriately at all Legacy events.  For example: bare midriffs, halter tops, spaghetti straps, low cut shirts, short skirts, short shorts, low riding pants, inappropriate t-shirts, etc. are not acceptable.

Above all, our conduct during all Legacy events should be pleasing to God!
